UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA) Scottish Conference 2021
William Wilson of COP26andBeyond will be speaking at a session on Using the Law to Fix the Climate during this year’s UKELA Scottish Conference, in partnership with Anne Johnstone of After the Pandemic.
We will also be presenting a short film on Using the Law to Fix the Climate, made by young film makers at Eastside Productions, where we will hear from young climate activists from Kenya, the UK, Nigeria & Australia.

COP26andbeyond and Istituto Analisi Relazioni Internationali are delighted and honoured that the Italian government has selected our application to present events at the Milan #All4Climate Italy 2021 Program.
‘Launched by the Italian Ministry for Ecological Transition in collaboration with the World Bank Group’s Connect4Climate and with the participation of the Lombardy Region and the Municipality of Milan, All4Climate aims to foster proactive dialogue on the challenges of the climate crisis and deliver on the objectives of the Paris Agreement.’

International Conference and Protect Our Planet (POP) Festival for Youth-led Climate Action
On 8 June 2021 William Wilson will be privileged to present a COP26 and beyond workshop on "Using the Law to Fix the Climate" at the Third International Conference and Festival put on by The Protect Our Planet Movement, the youth-led worldwide climate 'POP' movement founded by the late Dr R.K. Pachauri.
We will be looking at how laws are made, how they are enforced, and what you can do to use them to help fix the climate.

Green jobs are a make or break issue in the fight against climate change. This online workshop discussed the future of green jobs and the implications of the Net Zero world for lifelong learning, as well as provided practical tips for those seeking a green career. The workshop tackled key questions such as: What are green jobs? How can we ensure a just transition? If whole industries require transformation in a Net Zero world, how should we reskill? Is it possible to save the planet and thrive in our careers?

To mark World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development, COP26andbeyond and Global Engineering Futures hosted a virtual event: Engineering for the Energy Transition.
We hosted a panel discussion with early-career engineers, leaders in industry and notable academics, and covered everything from careers, new technologies, and sustainability, to the overarching role of engineers in a changing future.

Using the Law to Fix the Climate

COP26andbeyond presented this MOCK COP fringe event for delegates in November.
We looked at how laws are made, how they are enforced, and what you can do to use them to fix the climate. MockCOP delegates from 11 countries took part in the session, led by William Wilson - an expert environmental and energy lawyer, alongside youth-led Italian think tank IARI and other young contributors.
